High security fencing has been improved at a Center Parks site in Suffolk following a history of theft problems.
The most recent issues include a spate of bicycle thefts at the spot in Elveden, reports eadt.co.uk.
"Scores" of visitors to the site have been either burgled or had their bikes stolen, with an estimated value of over £270,000 in burgled gear reported over the past two years.
The resort now has its own dedicated police officer who is working to combat the crime there. Measures taken have included revamped security fencing and offering safety advice to Center Parks guests.
Dangers posed by using poor security fencing were also highlighted last month after trolleys were taken from a Tesco store in Reading.
People taking the trolleys were evading the store's security system by passing through a gap in security fencing. A local councillor urged Tesco to improve its security fencing as a result.
