Sound proof fencing will be part of a planned development of a new childhood centre at a church in New Zealand.
A $750,000 plan for a centre at the Nativity Church, in Blenheim, Marlborough, operating under the Diocese of Nelson, has been approved by the local District Council, according to the Marlborough Express.
However, the project is now waiting for funding.
Keith Buck, a member of the church and spokesperson for the centre project, told the newspaper he hoped the development would start soon: "My dream is to get it [the centre] up and running next year."
Some residents have criticised the proposed development, voicing concerns over increased noise and problems with traffic and parking.
However, the council agreed that acoustic fencing would be part of the development to placate these concerns.
Earlier this month it was reported that acoustic fencing would be used as part of a redevelopment project on a road in Windsor.
