High security fencing is being considered as a safety measure after an allotment site in Canvey Island, Essex, has been plagued by vandals.
Waterside Farm Allotments has suffered from a spate of attacks over the summer, according to the Echo.
Sheds have been upturned and burnt down, doors destroyed, and plants and vegetables uprooted.
Some six incidents in the past ten weeks have been recorded.
Dave Oddy, a plot holder at the site, told the news provider he was disgusted at the vandals' behaviour.
He said: "When I first saw it, I could have done with a bit of anger management I wanted to string them up."
The local authority, Canvey Town Council, is now considering installing a metal high security fence to step-up security efforts.
Earlier this month the risk of having unsuitable security fencing was underscored after vandals exploited a broken fence to break into an allotment in Halifax and stage a similar attack.
