High security fencing is one possible solution to the security threats faced by Russia when it hosts the 2014 Winter Olympics.
According to the Vancouver Sun, while Russia was able to woo International Olympic Committee judges by constructing an entire ice rink is Guatemala City during the bidding process - complete with security fencing - creating an anti-threat barrier during Sochi 2014 is going to be a hugely difficult task.
The paper notes that Vladimir Putin is hoping that the Sochi Olympics will be "safe, enjoyable and memorable".
But last month Alexander Bortnikov, the chief of Russia's federal security bureau, said he was aware of credible terrorist threats to the Sochi Games - something that could force Russia to boost the amount of high security fencing and other counter terrorism measures it employs.
Earlier this year, the Washington Post reported that Canada was expecting to spend $1 billion on security during the recent Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
