A drunken man climbed over high-security fencing this week in an effort to ride a crocodile known locally as Fatso.

The gentleman was chucked out of a bar in Broome, Australia, due to inebriation and decided some fun on the back of a crocodile was the order of the day, according to the Associated Press.

Scaling the steel fencing, the man entered the Broome crocodile park and sat on the back of the animal which spun and bit him on the leg, the news provider reported.

Suffering severe wounds, the man managed to struggle back over the security fencing and returned to the bar – where thankfully he was let back in.

According to the Daily Mail, Sergeant Roger Haynes, of the local police force, said he was surprised the man was able to get back out of the enclosure.

"The crocodile has let him go and he's been able to scale the fence again and leave the wildlife park," he said.

According to Outback Australia, crocodile attacks in Australia are not uncommon.
