New security fencing is being erected in a cul-de-sac in Saltney as part of wider security improvement measures.
The section of two-metre high fencing will run between Larch Way and Park Avenue and is expected to cost £6,600.
It will help to deter youths from heading into the cul-de-sac and partaking in anti-social behaviour.
Speaking to the Flintshire Chronicle, Saltney town mayor Veronica Gay said: "This is a project which has been in the pipeline for some time. We have been working with the town council and Flintshire County Council on this."
Mrs Gay said one of the ideas put forward was to fence off the entrance to the Rec park area entirely.
She added: "The Saltney Stonebridge Tenants and Residents Association is also still appealing for lottery funding for a Metal Mickey CCTV camera for the area."
The Lancashire Telegraph recently reported that security fencing was being used to keep vandals from wreaking havoc at Brierfield allotment.
