Play area fencing could feature as part of new plans to redevelop the Bellamy Road estate in Mansfield.
At present, Mansfield District Council is working alongside planners and architects to work out how some areas can be improved.
Initial proposals include developing sections of the playing field next to Adams Way, which will include the building of new homes, as well as an area of open space that includes a play area.
Councillor Kate Allsop, portfolio holder for economic regeneration at Mansfield District Council, explained that local residents have come forward to highlight what they want to see improved.
"I would encourage residents to look at the proposals and let us have their thoughts, as the comments we receive will help shape how the estate will be transformed in future years," she commented.
Other suggestions put forward so far include improvements to lighting, parking and the overall landscaping of the area.
