A new housing strategy is being devised to put together a vision for housing in the borough, with residents asked to put forward their views on the matter.
An online survey is available until December 31st and seeks people's responses to the key areas of development that have already been earmarked by Lambeth Council.
One of its proposals is to make sure residents feel safe and secure in their properties, as well as in the surrounding areas.
Furthermore, there is an intention to design neighbourhoods and estates that are well maintained and close to local services such as schools and transport links.
A recent survey conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings found that homeowners are increasingly spending money on necessary maintenance, as opposed to aesthetic improvements.
