The best security bollards of London have been revealed by blog author John Kennedy.

Mr Kennedy compiles a blog dedicated to the various traffic calming measures all across the capital. In the blogger's top five list is a bollard shaped like a policeman along with a security barrier which did not used to be a bollard but now is.

Speaking to Time Out London magazine he reveals his favourite and most interesting bollards in the city.

Taking the top award is a Houses of Parliament bollard which Mr Kennedy reminisces about seeing.

He said: "I found this bollard on the Parliamentary estate after I dropped the speaker's wife, Sally Bercow, off in my taxi-cab to her residence in the Palace of Westminster."

Other notable mentions in the list were the Policeman Bollard in SW1 and the controversial decision of the Brockley Cross Bollards which the blogger described as a "mess but in an odd way what beauty, a real confused urban scene."
