Metal gates could be among the tools used at a play area in Henley after parish councillors revealed that they are worried for the safety of children.
Sonning Common's play areas are currently without fencing, making it easy for children to run out into a nearby road.
Furthermore, dog-fouling has been a particular problem as the park remains unprotected with fencing thought to be the solution, reports the Henley Standard.
Councillor Douglas Kedge, vice-chairman of the parish council, told the news provider that around 65 metres of fencing has been previously torn down and never replaced.
He added: "There are no gates and what has been happening, according to residents, is that teenage cyclists come straight off the road and down into the play area at some speed. There needs to be a gate there."
A Walthamstow park also saw steel gates erected recently after a £4.6 million refurbishment project was completed.
