A Conservative MP has visited business premises in Nailsea that has seen security fencing installed as part of a refurbishment project.

Dr Liam Fox, defence secretary and MP for North Somerset, paid a visit to the new unit at Southfield Road Trading Estate, the Weston, Worle and Somerset Mercury reports.

Two firms, Landscape Services South West and Mike Taylor Garden Machinery, are now based at the site after moving in four weeks ago.

They were previously based at separate farms in Failand but decided to jointly move to the Nailsea unit to work more closely together and expand their business.

Dr Fox recently took a tour of the unit, which features new security fencing, a new office space and yard and machinery wash-down area.

Landscape Services South West provides grounds maintenance to organisations and businesses in the public and private sector and Mike Taylor Garden Machinery provides sales, servicing and repairs of garden machinery.
