Celebrations are taking place at the Olympic Delivery Authority after it successfully completed the UK's largest new urban park for more than 100 years.

There are various features that have been installed as part of the construction, including security bollards, which will remain in place long after next year's Olympics has finished.

The security bollards have been installed along a tree-lined road to the north of the park, which has been modelled on the Mall and Birdcage Walk.

Creators of the area hope it will make people feel as though they are inside the park, which will be further accentuated by the use of traffic barriers and management measures.

Andrew Altman, chief executive of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, said: "Millions of people will be able to enjoy these high quality parklands in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park after the Games.

"They will be a stunning backdrop for our events and visitor attractions."
