A gardener living in Cottingley could require new high security fencing
after seeing her hard work destroyed by three cows and a bull breaking through previous barriers.
Shirley Thomson's garden now lies in tatters following the runaway animals, despite reporting the problem to the local farmer in the past.
Now, she told The Telegraph and Argus, "it's all gone, there's nothing left to save" despite her best efforts.
Ms Thomson had high praise of neighbours who tried to usher the animals away, saying it was "very brave of them".
She told the news provider: "Apparently they were all bashing up against the conservatory window because they wanted to get to the greenery inside.
"I think they were hungry. What we want is for the farmer to put up a proper stock fence that will keep them in the field and out of my garden."
Fencing was also installed in Petersham Meadow, Sutton, last month to protect cows that had been previously harmed by other animals.
