A woman had to unexpectedly get hold of some security fencing this week – in order to block off a mystery hole that inadvertently opened up in her driveway.

According to North Wales Weekly News, Judith Priestnall, from Penmaenmawr, was in shock after hearing how her husband had driven into the hole while parking the car.

"My husband thought it was a burst tyre at first, but when he saw what had happened he feared it would fall further and pierce the tank underneath. It was quite a scary thought," Mrs Priestnall told the newspaper.

Apparently the hole is growing and already stands at five foot in width.

Thankfully a friend helped her get some security fencing so that the hole –thought to be a well – is now protected.

Mrs Priestnall added that the hole had been detected now as she was planning to install a trampoline in her garden for her children.ADNFCR-3337-ID-800103857-ADNFCR
