Thousands of Liverpool homes to get new fencing

Thousands of Liverpool homes to get new fencing
Security fencing will be put up around thousands of homes in Liverpool as part of a community project.

Approximately 3,600 properties in the Speke and Garston area of the city will receive the fencing, the Liverpool Echo reported.

Workers from The Fencing Enterprise Team, part of South Liverpool Housing (SLH), which set up the project, will install 75km of fencing in total.

In addition, ten jobs have been created.

Maria Eagle, MP for Garston and Halewood, told the newspaper: "I know fencing is a big issue for my constituents in Speke and Garston, so I welcome the fact that SLH is addressing this need and the innovative way in which they are doing it, delivering benefit not just for tenants but in terms of jobs."

Recently, it was announced that more than 1,000 Liverpool homes will receive 200Mbps broadband as part of a SmartGrid trial.ADNFCR-3337-ID-800331243-ADNFCR
