Jacksons Fencing adds to its impressive portfolio of perimeter security and access control products with the launch of a crash tested electro hydraulic high security bollard.
The Mega Bulldog JF-05 High Security Bollard system
, which is being unveiled at this year's Counter Terror Expo
(25-26 April 2012, Olympia, London), is ideally placed to provide enhanced security measures for embassies and other high profile / high risk facilities naturally exposed to potential terror attacks. The product is already in use as part of the security architecture at the Kremlin.
The bollard meets the stringent criteria required for UK Government PAS 68: 2010 test 7500 (N3) / 80 / 90. Tested on the 6th September 2011 by TRL (Transport Research Laboratory), the bollard delivered an impressive performance and was still operational post the impact - demonstrating clear evidence of its ability to withstand the impact resistance of a 7.5 ton vehicle at 85 kph.
The new automatic retractable bollard is powered by an electro hydraulic closed unit (no oil pipe) capable of lowering the bollards for the passage of authorized vehicles at up to 180 cycles per hour, with an operating speed of 4 seconds. Instructions to activate the bollard can be delivered via a variety of control systems including push buttons, mobile phone, magnetic cards and proximity tags.
The steel Mega Bulldog
(available in a zinc coating / powder coating or stainless steel, supplied with an anti-corrosion treatment) can be successfully installed to work in all climates and will blend into curves and rough terrains. LED lights can be fitted as an optional feature to bolster visibility.
Jacksons will be exhibiting the new Mega Bulldog JF-05 High Security system alongside a number of its other high security products on stand F110, at this year's Counter Terror Expo.
