Sports fencing needs to be erected at a football club if it wants to achieve promotion.
If Binfield Football Club were to win the Hellenic Premier Division next season without the sports fencing, they would be unable to move up to the Southern League.
The idea is for the fence to be put up between the club's first-team pitch and the junior pitches so that it only allows fans that have paid for the match to be able to watch the action, reported Get Bracknell.
This is a very real problem as the current champions Wantage Town have been declared ineligible for promotion for similar reasons.
However, where exactly the fence should be put up has divided opinion.
Bob Bacon, chairman of Binfield, told the newspaper: "We intend to do everything we need to do to gain promotion next year. I don’t want to put a fence up that will divide the two pitches and the reason for that is we are a community club with a thriving junior section. To put a divide there would be counter-productive for our goals."
A Scottish football manager recently expressed his fear that football stadiums could see the return of perimeter fencing. Jim Jeffries was speaking after the Celtic football manager was attacked by a spectator during a match.
