The organisers of the annual Brighton Pride are considering the installation of security fencing as they look to make a series of logistical changes to the popular event.
Overcrowding and littering are the main problems facing the organisers, the BBC reports. Sussex Police have said the licence for the event could be withdrawn if the issues are allowed to continue.
After a meeting following on from this year's Pride, officials and members of the emergency services agreed it could not be staged next year in its current state, the news provider said.
Geoffrey Bowden, a trustee for the Pride, said that one of the options may be to make it a paid event.
"One of them may well be to look at charging, and indeed to do that you're going to have to look at the option of fencing Preston Park, if that is where the event is to remain," he told the news provider.
Over 150,000 people attended Brighton Pride last year.
