Play area fencing has been deployed at a school play area in Swindon thanks to a community project.

According to This Is Wiltshire, staff from various branches of McDonald's helped to transform the play area at Faringdon pre-school.

They painted 20 metres of new play area fencing, installed child-safe cladding around the school and renovated the play site.

"The day was really excellent," McDonald's franchise manager, Paul Booth, told the news provider.

"I would strongly recommend it to other companies as a great team building exercise."

Mr Booth said they were recommended to undertake the project by an employee whose child attends the school. Senior management and a maintenance man all helped out the scheme, which has been running for five years.

This month a residents' group came together to develop play area fencing around a children's park in Overtoun, Scotland, in a bid to prevent dog fouling.ADNFCR-3337-ID-800066437-ADNFCR
