Whenever Bristol man Paul Groves pops into his back garden he finds his main task is not to tend to the azaleas but to manically dodge an array of flying golf balls.
Mr Groves' back garden has amassed 60 balls in just six weeks that are whizzing over from the ninth hole at nearby Knowle Golf Club, according to thisisbristol.co.uk.
And it is since his security fencing was blown down last year that Mr Groves has had a stream of balls appearing in his garden.
"In the last six weeks, I've collected about 60 golf balls from my back garden," Mr Groves told the news provider.
"Between my back garden and the golf course is a brook, some corrugated fencing and some high trees, but people must have hit the balls even higher than that."
After getting some compensation after an accident Mr Groves decided to buy some security fencing but unfortunately was not well enough to erect it.
He has now asked the council whether it will supply security fencing to help stem the problem.
Earlier this month a man who installed security fencing and gate automation at a house in Liverpool put it up for sale at £1.2 million.
