Figures published by Confused.com have shown that the value of the items held in the average garden equate to £825, with lawnmowers, strimmers, sheds and greenhouses among the most expensive items people own.
One in three Brits admit to spending more on their gardens than on any other part of their property, with three quarters revealing that this is their favourite area.
