Supermodel and cookery show host Sophie Dahl is planning to erect high security fencing around her home in Buckinghamshire, it has been reported.

According to the Daily Mail, Dahl, who is married to musician Jamie Cullum, wants to install security fencing around the perimeter of her home in Great Missenden.

In a bid to retain some privacy, the supermodel has asked for planning permission to build the security privacy barrier around her £3 million home.

There was some local opposition to the plan, after concerns were raised that the security fencing would be too high.

However, it has been agreed security fencing can be installed at no higher than four feet and six inches high, the news provider said.

An insider told the news provider: "Sophie wanted a significantly taller fence and gate as she doesn't want people snooping."

Earlier this month Asquith Day Nursery in Dulwich defended erecting six foot high security fencing as part of a new spending plan.
