Plans to put security fencing around a Somerset school are set to be approved.
Proposals to put up fencing at St Martin's Junior School in Spring Hill, Worle, will go before a North Somerset Council committee meeting this week, the Weston Mercury reports.
Measuring two metres in height, the fencing would go at the front and the side of the school buildings.
The school regards fencing as a "necessary" measure to monitor visitors and keep students safe, the newspaper said.
Recently, a school in Devon said it would conduct a safety review and was considering adding more security fencing after two pupils went missing during school hours.
A water company had been carrying out work on land at Eden Park primary, in Brixham, and school fencing that would normally have been in place was taken down to allow for the work.
The two girls walked out of the school last Monday (March 28th), the Herald Express reported.
