A luxury house in Liverpool will go on sale for £1.2 million thanks to significant improvement work.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Kirkstone House, on Pex Hill in Cronton, has been undergoing remodelling and renovation work for three years.

The owner, Paul Antrobus, has worked long and hard to improve the house, which he bought for £650,000, securing a childhood dream.

Mr Antrobus has spent £250,000 undertaking the work on the house, which was in a poor state when he first bought it.

But now the beautiful family home boasts four bedrooms, three reception areas, two bathrooms and a stunning kitchen.

Mr Antrobus told the news provider about the work he had done.

"The garage was turned into the kitchen, we re-wired, re-plumbed and put on electric gates and a fence; and created a massive patio area.

"At first I wanted to knock it down and rebuild and redesign the house but couldn't get permission to do that.

"It would make the perfect family house. The garden itself would be an adventure for any child, and it's safe and secure."

Electric gates have a variety of uses. They benefit residential properties and are also used in large scale commercial projects.
