Management of a school in Staffordshire has submitted plans to improve security after complaints about the behaviour of some of its pupils.
According to thisisstaffordshire.co.uk, local resident Deryn Ford claimed she had been verbally abused and threatened with a hammer by two pupils from Draycott Moor College.
Ms Ford told the news provider: "Last Tuesday afternoon I found them in the hen run and there was some blood around and eggs had been smashed.
"They waved a hammer at me and gave me verbal abuse."
A Parish Council meeting has taken place to address the concerns.
At the meeting councillors received plans from EduCare Adolescent Services, who run the school, to erect 3m high security fencing, improve training and bring an ex-policeman into the workforce.
Julie Mullard, operations manager for EduCare, told the news provider: "I have met with the chairman and secretary of the parish council yesterday afternoon and put forward a report and comprehensive plan for the college ready for September.
"I believe this will alleviate any concerns residents may have."
This month plans to install security fencing at a school in Hornsey were put in place after safety concerns.
