Temporary fencing solutions and a pedestrian guardrail are part of a package of new works on the Isle of Man.
Development is taking place on two roundabouts on the island, in order to widen the road and develop new crossing facilities, isleofman.com said.
As well as a new pedestrian guardrail close to the Quarterbridge Hotel and the installation of temporary fencing solutions in advance of the TT and Manx Grand Prix races, new traffic islands will also be developed to host signage and act as a "refuge" for pedestrians.
It is understood that motorists could face delays of seven weeks due to the amount of work taking place. Narrower lanes and traffic signals will be deposed to manage the situation.
This month a pedestrian guardrail and security fencing were installed at a school in Langport, in Wales.
Huish Episcopi School and Science College, which has academy status, will erect the safety measures to be more in keeping with surrounding buildings.
