A planning proposal for the installation of a ball court with tennis court fencing has been suggested by a housing association.

The Saffron Housing Trust intends to build a ball a court on a playing field in Silfield Avenue in Wymondham, according to the Wymondham and Attleborough Mercury.

At 20 metres by 13 metres, the court would be installed on top of a field currently used for football games. The goalposts would be moved into the court.

The security fencing will be erected to prevent balls landing in local residents' properties.

The news provider reported that Saffron Housing Trust said in its planning application: "Our proposals will not affect the layout of the existing play area. The only alteration is to install a fenced games court which will be n the same location as the existing football area."

Last month it was reported that a Scottish tennis club was undergoing the development of tennis court fencing as part of improvement work.
