Wirral Partnerships Homes and the police are working with local residents to find a solution to the growing problem of anti-social behaviour in the Moreton area.
At a meeting at the Sandbrook Community Centre in Chapelhill last week, a number of issues were raised relating to bad behaviour and their possible solutions, reports the Wirral Globe.
Conservative councillor for Leasowe and Moreton East Ian Lewis claimed that the council would soon look at physical measures that could help tackle the problem - including the erection of high security fencing, metal gates and additional lighting.
Speaking to the news provider, he said: "As a local councillor, I am asking anyone with ideas on how we can improve security to get in touch.
"Wirral Partnership Homes, the police and the Anti Social Behaviour Team have all given me their commitment that they will work with us."
Residents in Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, recently called on local government to erect security fencing in an attempt to stamp out anti-social behaviour in the area, the Dewsbury Reporter states.
