A pedestrian guardrail may be among the features planned for a new sales and restaurant area in Staffordshire.

Around 20 jobs are expected to be created at the Bridgemere Nursery and Garden World as it looks to open a restaurant with a balcony in addition to a ground-floor shop.

Thisisstaffordshire.co.uk reports that the garden centre is one of the largest in the world and covers around 50 acres following a new main entrance that was opened last year.

Administration assistant Louisa Price, of Clayton, told the news provider that she would be delighted to see further renovation.

"I have noticed changes the past few times I have been and think they are doing a very good job of transforming it," she explained.

"It will be nice to see more shop space and a new restaurant."

Aberdeen could also require a new pedestrian guardrail as plans for a business park recently got the go-ahead.
