Construction recruitment is leading a recovery in the jobs market, which may be of interest to those involved in the installation of security fencing
According to a jobs survey by Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) and KPMG, the number of people placed in permanent positions has risen at the fastest rate for six months, Construction Enquirer reports.
Permanent jobs rose to 57.4 in January, up from 54.9 in December 2010 and 56.3 in August 2010.
Construction and engineering, IT, executive roles and accounting are the markets with the most sought-after jobs.
But Bernard Brown, partner at KPMG, tempered the positive outlook by pointing out that impending cuts could stall any recovery.
"With looming public sector job cuts, the VAT rise and slowing economic growth, the UK job market is likely to remain volatile over the coming months," he was quoted by Construction Enquirer as saying.
According to ConstructionSkills, while 76,000 construction jobs are likely to go this year, 200,000 new jobs are forecast to be created by 2015.
