Security fencing could be required at a play area in Bradford after vandals damaged the newly-opened site.

Among the damage caused at the £90,000 park were waste bins pulled from the ground and broken play equipment, reports

Furthermore, play area fencing was pulled from the ground - creating the possibility of future security fencing installation.

Chief Inspector Darren Brown, from Bradford South Police, told the news provider that he and his force are doing all they can to make sure criminals are caught and that the playground is protected.

"We have stepped up patrols in the area and have been speaking to local children," he explained.

"We have also given some children warning letters in front of their parents about anti-social behaviour."

Elsewhere, security fencing may also be needed in Leek after a cow cleared a fence and collided with a Citroen C5, sending the car skidding 80 yards.
