A couple who are currently building a farm that can be accessible for disabled children are currently seeking help with completing their project.

Nick and Nicola Laister from Chipping Norton are looking for volunteers to assist with tasks such as installing security fencing and pathways at Fairytale Farm.

The park will be the first of its kind in the UK and will contain all the features of a traditional farm, as well as play areas that cater for youngsters with a wide range of disabilities, reports the Cotswold Journal.

Inspiration for the project was sought from the couple's 14-year-old daughter Olivia, who often missed out on the opportunity to visit certain attractions due to suffering from cerebral palsy.

Mr Laister commented: "Normally you would hand your child over for a couple of hours at a care facility.

"There isn't somewhere where you can go as a whole family where everything is designed for the disabled child."
