New fencing has been installed at a play area in Merseyside by a group of pharmacy workers.
According to the Ellesmere Port Pioneer, youngsters at Stanlaw Abbey Children's Centre are now making good use of its new garden and patio.
Managers from Rowlands Pharmacy took part in five community projects this year, with the centre earmarked as one of them.
A team of 35 people split into five groups and looked for charity projects they felt would benefit from volunteer work.
At Stanlaw Abbey, the colleagues installed the patio area, planted a garden and erected fencing.
The centre offers childcare, health, family and support services.
Recently, workers from energy supplier E.ON volunteered at Ernesford Grange Community School in Coventry.
There they improved the site's security fencing and helped to build an outdoor learning facility, the Coventry Telegraph said.
Helen Noble, deputy head, told the newspaper: "This was a mammoth task which we would never have had time to do ourselves."
