Coloured security fencing has meant Cheshire youngsters have been able to enjoy new play equipment in safety over the half-term break at a revamped recreation ground in Cheshire.
While work on the recreation ground, in Bollington, also known as Happy Valley, is still ongoing, View Online reports the area was "a hive of activity" as youngsters clambered on new climbing frames, and enjoyed a slide, a teen shelter and a basket swing.
The multi-court has been surrounded by security fencing in a multitude of colours, giving it a fresh and engaging look.
A town council steering group made up of councillors Mike Best, Peter Chard and Sue White, together with district councils, the police and the Happy Valley Endeavours community group are behind the plans.
The play area will be formally unveiled on Tuesday April 19th when residents of all ages are encouraged to see the impressive new site for themselves. It is also hoped a celebrity will open the facilities.
Recently, it was announced security bollards and play area fencing will be installed around a play area in Offenham. The measures are being implemented to stop motorists driving over the grass and ruining the quality of the pitch.
