Security bollards will be installed outside a courthouse in Londonderry following an attempted car bomb attack on the building.
Last month, a bomb containing around 50kg of explosives was found in a car park opposite the courthouse.
More than 100 security bollards will be installed outside the court, stretching from the city walls to St Columb's Court.
It is hoped the new measures will prevent any further incidents happening.
City centre traders' spokesman Martin McCrossan told UTV News said that while he had requested that the bollards didn't go up, he admitted they were needed.
"When they told me the case for putting them there, unfortunately, I had to agree that the security situation warrants them," he said.
Police in Northern Ireland said last month's bomb could have caused death or serious injury.
It is believed dissident republicans were behind the bomb, which was found contained in a beer keg.
