Security fencing will be part of a £1 million plan to develop a state-of-the-art football complex in a Scottish town.
According to the Glasgow Evening Times, the new 3G facility, at Croy, near Cumbernauld, will include 15ft security fencing with access gating to go around the pitch's perimeter.
There will also be a two-storey pavilion which can be used for community meetings, floodlights, and a car park.
Campaigners are delighted after trying for ten years to get the measures implemented. The pitch is expected to significantly boost Croy's reputation as a sporting centre.
Talking about the project to the Cumbernauld News, Pat Johnston, chairman of the Croy Development Trust, said: "It has taken a great deal of work and we want to ensure we get every detail right."
Security fencing will also be installed at an all-weather pitch at Canon Lee School in Clifton, York, it was recently reported.
