Security bollards are now in place in Tenby as the area's residents and local police fight back against anti-social parking.

The bollards were placed at the Saundersfoot retirement facility following conversations between Pembrokeshire County Council and the Dyfed-Powys police to safeguard the community.

It is now hoped that people will avoid parking in the area during the day and that ambulances will be able to use any of the seven spaces available, reports

David Jones, from Pembrokeshire County Council tenancy management department, told the news provider that the move came through working together.

"Working in partnership is key to ensuring our communities live and work in a safe and pleasant environment," he explained.

"This project highlights our commitment to listening and engaging with our residents and acting efficiently and effectively where appropriate."

The residents of Littlemore are also calling for security bollards to be installed after travellers occupied a local park.
