Our range of LPS 1673 certified fencing systems provides independently tested perimeter protection for sites where enhanced security is a key requirement. Combining robust steel construction with recognised third-party certification, these solutions are designed to help specifiers, contractors and end users select fencing that meets defined security performance standards.
What is LPS 1673?
LPS 1673 is a Loss Prevention Standard developed to assess a product's ability to resist violent forced entry attempts. The standard specifically addresses attacks involving bladed weapons and blunt impact tools, where an attacker has little or no concern about the noise generated during the attack.
The standard uses a matrix-based classification system, known as Attack Ratings (AR), to benchmark the attack resistance offered by security products. These ratings reflect both the threat level and the minimum delay a product can provide during an attack, helping specifiers select solutions that are appropriate to the risks identified through a security assessment.
LPS 1673 supports the specification of a wide range of perimeter and physical security products, including fencing and gates. Products certified to the standard have undergone independent third-party testing and evaluation, providing confidence that their performance has been assessed against a recognised security benchmark.
