There was much celebration when the security fencing was taken down signalling the opening of a new play area in Coventry.
Children at Potters Green Primary School were understandably very excited to be able to play on the new facility. The Coventry Telegraph reported that the £16,000 area has a host of activities incorporated to it including beams, monkey bars, netting and rope ladders.
It is just one of a number of play areas opening in Coventry as the city's newspaper reported yesterday (January 19th) that work was due to begin on a playground in Gosford Park following a campaign headed by a four-year-old boy.
Potters Green managed to create two play areas, one for younger school classes and one for the older children.
Paul Ryan, headteacher at the school, told the source: "It has been great to see such enthusiasm from the kids and they love it. It really helps their co-ordination, strength and physical fitness which is so important for them."
