Perimeter security and access control specialist Jacksons Fencing has appointed Peter Jackson as its Chief Executive and Chairman, effective from 1st October 2014.

Peter Jackson, who has spent 25 years working in the physical security sector takes over the reins from his brother Richard Jackson* to lead the company that was established in 1947 by their late father, Ian Jackson.

As the former Sales Director for Jacksons, Peter’s previous area of expertise lies in servicing the high security sector of the business. He has been personally responsible for designing the only fencing product to reach SR4 and SR5 level LPCB accreditation, in addition to designing the first fencing product to attain the highest government testing standard.

Commenting on his appointment Peter says “I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to Richard’s incredible dedication and commitment over the last 40+ years. His strategic insight and excellent leadership skills have undoubtedly contributed to shaping the business and growing it into the hugely successful and profitable entity that it is today. I am delighted to be taking up this significant role and relish the challenge of continuing Richard’s work in steering the company through the next stage of its evolution and continued development as a major player in the physical security sector, servicing the residential, commercial and ultra high security markets. Jacksons has been established for over 65 years and since its inception, has always taken pride in its ability to deliver superior quality products that are fit for purpose and therefore guaranteed to offer a long life service.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to trade on its reputation for outstanding quality, both in terms of the product offering but also in relation to the exceptional calibre of customer service and access to unrivalled in-house technical expertise. Jacksons successfully weathered the storm of the recent economic recession and is now poised for further growth and innovation so I’m looking forward to the exciting times that lie ahead.
