When it comes to delivering effective acoustic fencing solutions, experience and collaboration make all the difference. At Jacksons Fencing, our acoustic team works closely with clients across a wide range of sectors, from residential developments to major infrastructure projects, helping to design and deliver systems that genuinely reduce noise and improve environments.
We spoke to the team to learn more about their roles, what they do day to day, and what makes acoustic fencing such an important part of modern projects.
Introducing the team
A small but highly experienced team dedicated to acoustic solutions at Jacksons.
Justin Khadaroo is our Acoustic Solutions Manager and has been with Jacksons for 25 years. He specialises in commercial acoustic barriers and supports clients in finding practical, effective solutions to noise challenges.
Working alongside Justin are Rob Hunt-Cooke and Hope Denton, who have been with Jacksons for 18 years and 6 years respectively. Together, they bring a mix of technical knowledge, experience, and a collaborative approach to every project we support.
Their role is to work closely with consultants, contractors, and end users from the early design stages through to quotation and project delivery. Every site is different, so understanding each client’s objectives and recommending the right solution is a key part of what they do.
We asked them the following questions to get a feel for their day-to-day roles.

What does a typical day look like?
No two days are ever quite the same.
As a team, we can move from reviewing technical specifications for a large infrastructure project to discussing a noise challenge on a residential or education site, all within the same day.
Our work often includes:
This variety is one of the things we value most about our roles. Each project presents a different challenge, and we enjoy being part of finding the right answer.
What do we enjoy about working with acoustic fencing?
A big part of what makes our work rewarding is the problem-solving aspect.
Noise can have a significant impact on people’s quality of life, whether it’s road traffic affecting a new housing development or operational noise from a commercial site. Being able to help create quieter, more comfortable environments is something we take real pride in.
We also enjoy seeing projects progress from an initial conversation through to a completed installation that delivers clear, measurable results.
Why should customers consider acoustic fencing?
Noise pollution is an increasingly important consideration in both residential and commercial environments.
Acoustic fencing can:
A well designed acoustic barrier can significantly reduce noise levels while also providing security, durability and an attractive appearance.
Common misconceptions about acoustic barriers
One of the most common misconceptions we come across is that installing any type of fence will automatically solve a noise problem.
In reality, effective noise reduction depends on several factors, including:
Even small gaps or incorrect detailing can have a surprisingly large impact on performance.
That is why it is so important that acoustic fencing is designed and installed as a complete system, rather than treated as a standard fencing solution.
Recent and rewarding projects
We have worked on a wide range of projects, from residential developments to major infrastructure schemes.
One recent project involved supporting a large infrastructure development where noise mitigation was a key requirement. We worked closely with the wider project team from specification through to delivery, ensuring the system met the required acoustic performance while also being practical to install within programme constraints.
One of the most technically challenging and rewarding projects we have been involved with is supporting the delivery of acoustic barriers for a large power plant. The scale of the scheme, combined with the level of coordination required, made it particularly complex. Working collaboratively with consultants, contractors, and our internal teams to help deliver a successful outcome was incredibly satisfying.

How customer requirements are evolving
In recent years, we have seen a clear shift in what customers are looking for.
It is no longer just about acoustic performance. Clients are increasingly considering:
There is also greater awareness of environmental noise and stricter planning requirements, meaning many clients now engage with us earlier in the design process. This allows for a more considered and effective solution from the outset.
What makes the team work well together?
Collaboration is at the heart of how we work.
As a team, we combine technical expertise with practical experience and a shared commitment to finding the best outcome for our customers. We also work closely with colleagues across the business, including design, manufacturing, logistics, and installation support, to ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Clear communication and a willingness to support each other are key to delivering consistent results.
What do clients say?
One of the most rewarding pieces of feedback we hear from clients is how noticeable the difference is once an acoustic barrier has been installed.
Comments like "the difference is remarkable" are common, particularly on residential projects where noise reduction has a direct impact on day-to-day living.
Clients also value the reassurance that comes from working with a trusted supplier and receiving guidance throughout the process.
Why choose Jacksons acoustic solutions?
At Jacksons, we combine decades of experience with independently tested systems and a collaborative approach to customer support.
We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all solution. Every project is assessed on its own requirements, and we take the time to ensure the recommended system is appropriate for the environment, performance targets and budget.
Our acoustic fencing systems are supplied as complete kits, designed to work as a whole and meet UKCA marking requirements where applicable. Manufactured using high quality timber and steel components, including deep V tongue and groove boards, they are built for durability and long-term performance, supported by our 25 year guarantee.
We also offer installation support, helping ensure systems are fitted correctly to achieve the intended acoustic performance.

Our goal
Ultimately, our goal is simple.
We want to help our customers create quieter, more comfortable environments using solutions they can rely on for years to come.
As a team, we are proud to support projects of all sizes, working closely with clients to turn acoustic challenges into practical, effective outcomes.
