Residents have been asked on the design of playground facilities, including play area fencing, in Bourne ahead of the commencing of building work.

A play area is due to be built next to the new £750,000 community centre in the near future in Elsea Park.

Furthermore, Kier Homes - who will be doing the building work - will be including a lit footpath and a shared cycleway for local residents, bournelocal.co.uk reports.

Rebecca Burke, administrator of the Elsea Park Community Trust, told the news provider that it wants "residential feedback on what they want to see at the park".

"We had 25 people come along to talk to us," she explained.

"People thought it would be fair to have an equal split of apparatus for the different age groups."

A £112,000 playground was opened in Shotts, Scotland, after funding came from both the North Lanarkshire Council and Waste Recycling Environmental Limited last month.
