Metal railings have been installed at a new park in Kidderminster allowing the town's children to play and enjoy the outdoors in safety.

Situated in Baskerville Road, the park will feature a number of pieces of equipment including swings, a roundabout and ball court, according to the Kidderminster Shuttle.

It was unveiled last Thursday (July 14th) after plenty of hard work from the Community Housing Group in partnership with Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership.

Gill Smith, resident involvement manager at TCHG, told the news provider that she hopes local families will have plenty of chance to enjoy the new area.

"The park has completely been refurbished with proper floor and fencing. It’s a really good play area now," she explained.

"It's something that's on the estate that’s in a safe environment. Families will benefit because they have not had a facility for younger children for a couple of years."

Security fencing was also recently installed in Kidderminster after previous bordering was destroyed by local residents.
