Thieves steal car batteries in Ledbury

A story by the Ledbury Reporter said that the criminals broke into the yard and prompted to steal around 50 car batteries from storage bins on the site.
Police believe they accessed the area by cutting two holes in the surrounding security fencing and exiting through the gaps once they had got the batteries. Investigators will now study footage from CCTV footage to find the culprits.
A police spokesman told the source: "The value of the stolen batteries is thought to be around £400, while at least £200 of damage was caused to the metal fence as a result of this break-in. This is the latest in a number of thefts at this business premises."
This theft comes after robbers stole a number of wooden gates in Evesham believed to be worth hundreds of pounds.
