2015 is already proving to be a very busy year for us!
We kicked off the New Year conducting workshops at the Secured by Design National Training Event 2015, which took place in Stratford upon Avon. This provided an ideal opportunity for Jacksons to make contact with ALOs (Architectural Liaison Officers) and CPDAs (Crime Prevention Design Advisors) and offer them key insights / industry expertise into the selection process for practical perimeter security solutions most appropriate and in keeping with the types of sites they are likely to be involved with.
This was followed in March by exhibiting at the Data Centre World event at ExCeL, London, joining the 400 exhibitors, 200 speakers and thousands of visitors attending the world’s largest dedicated data centre gathering. Our experts were on hand to discuss specific projects and provide professional guidance on the physical security architecture required for the perimeter protection and asset hardening of data centres and their supporting infrastructure.
In line with our ongoing focus in helping architects and specifiers to make informed choices and specify appropriate physical security solutions to the various threats faced by their clients, we also attended the RIBA London CPD Roadshow in early April. Architects were invited to attend a CPD titled ‘Perimeter Security and Protection Systems, Securing the Future’, which provided valuable information on the choice of physical protection products available, the best use of each system to combat a variety of threats, details of industry best practice and an explanation of the standards and legislation affecting these products and their impact on specifiers.
As I write this, we have just returned from the 7th Counter Terror Expo at Olympia, London where we showcased a selection of novel and innovative physical security / access control solutions. The show is seen as a must for those tasked with the mitigation of terrorist threats, and providing protection against terrorist attacks. The Expo provided us with the opportunity to present a range of high security products, including LPCB certified fencing and gates along with PAS 68 certified HVM fencing and bollards, to highlight our capability to deliver a wide variety of certified, approved and preferred physical security and access control solutions, for deployment at sites requiring high security performance.
In addition to the active development of new products destined for the highest security applications, we have also made significant investment in being able to offer a range of attractive LPS1175 certified fencing and gate solutions, at SR 1 and SR2 security ratings, designed to secure schools, housing, public buildings, commercial and retail sites from the differing threats they each face.
It’s all part of our committment to providing effective and sustainable perimeter security and access control solutions to meet the specific requirements of the widest variety of end user applications.
So all in all, a busy and highly productive start to 2015 with much more to come. I hope to be able to meet with some of our customers either on our stand M1230 at the Facilities Show taking place at London ExCel between 16th – 18th June.
