It has been an extremely busy and highly productive summer and now we are into autumn, the commercial division of the Jacksons business continues to flourish.
We had the opportunity to meet with existing and new clients on our stand at The Facilities Show (ExCeL) where there was a lot of interest in our LPS1175 fencing systems at SR1 and SR2 security ratings in particular for applications as diverse as schools and heavy industry.
The team here takes pride in its ability to offer informed counsel to help architects, specifiers and decision makers identify the most appropriate perimeter protection / access control solution for any specific application and I’m pleased to report that during the last quarter we have introduced a White Paper covering Security for Schools (we deliver over 500 projects a year to the UK education sector alone), as well as In-Site Papers on perimeter security for the Data Centre and Utility sectors. We have also invested a significant amount of time in updating the content on our website and improving website navigation in addition to fine-tuning our library of Q40 documents in line with feedback from users to make them more comprehensive and useful.
The integration of our Tenders and Commercial Sales Teams into a single unit earlier this year in a move to streamline the process from enquiry to installation appears to be working well for our clients and we’ll be investing on an ongoing basis to ensure we further improve our response times and quality of service.
Other highlights include being awarded the largest single contract in the company’s history, which I can’t say more about at this stage, and significant developments in our export drive into the MENA region.
On a lighter note, I’m delighted to report our involvement in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, in supporting the RFU’s security strategy at the iconic Twickenham Stadium, the largest venue in the world devoted to the sport of rugby union, where we have installed a variety of fencing systems and gates in around the boundary and the corporate village located ahead of the opening event.
While our full exhibition schedule for 2016 is yet to be finalised , I can confirm that we will be exhibiting at the Home Office Security & Policing 2016 event (8-10 March 2016, Five, Farnborough), Counter Terror Expo 2016 (19-20 April 2016, Olympia, London ) and Vision (7-8 June 2016, Olympia, London) plus continuing our support of the ‘Security Twenty’ series of events and Secured by Design conferences.
