Youths who caused damage to a recreation area in Lincolnshire are forcing the company that manages them to install security fencing around their property.

According to Spalding Today, Glen Park in Surfleet was vandalised by young adults using the football pitches to drive quadbikes and cars and has remained unusable since.

SPARC, which runs the grounds, said that it is currently seeking the funding necessary to make vital repairs to the grounds and is already in the process of installing security gates at vehicle entrances.

Spokesman Doug Whyles told the newspaper: "It is just frustrating and disappointing as we take great pride in what we provide here and now we have got to raise the money somehow to make these repairs."

Security fencing may also be erected to ensure that dogs stay away from play areas and public spaces in Leamington over the coming months, after councillors approved new rules that will ensure the animals are kept on leads.
