The future of play area fencing could be in the hands of the public, as Dover District Council (DDC) launches a consultation on the subject.
It is looking to create a ten-year plan on the provision of play services, which will involve investing in some sites and closing others.
A total of £431,000 of investment has been set aside, which will be used at locations such as Northbourne Avenue and Sheridan Road in Dover.
The two play areas benefiting most from the investment are William Pitt Avenue, where £77,300 has been set aside and Sheridan Road, with £74,200.
Cowdray Square in Deal is expected to be kept open until the equipment is no longer considered fit for purpose.
"We hope the public will take this chance to view the consultation document and have their say, and all comments will be taken into consideration," a DDC spokesperson told This is Kent.
