Security fencing is needed around a play park to stop dogs fouling, residents in Wokingham have said.

Dogs are apparently making a mess close to the play equipment in Gorse Ride, Finchampstead, getwokingham.co.uk reports.

The site was designed to be an open-access development and as such was built without a fence, but users of the park have noticed dog mess.

A meeting of Finchampstead Neighbourhood Action Group last week discussed the issue, the news provider said.
Recently, the headteacher of a primary school in Pethworth called for security fencing to be erected around the nearby Orchard Gardens playing fields.

The Midhurst and Petworth Observer reported that anti-social behaviour was on the increase, along with littering and dog fouling.

Andrew Goff told the newspaper Ofsted had flagged up the issues during an inspection.

"I have been at Central School for four years. Almost from the start I have been concerned about health and safety aspects on the field because it's so open," he said.
