Parents who show disregard for parking barriers at a Sleaford school have been threatened with £30 fines for their actions.
Letters have been sent home by police to parents of children attending St Botolph's Primary School in Quarrington, who are concerned that they are not parking their cars responsibly.
PC Keith Mclardy told the Sleaford Standard that various complaints have been received regarding the issue, therefore prompting him to take action.
"The complaints are mainly about cars on footpaths, the ziz zag lines and also parking too close to the junctions off Rookery Avenue," he explained.
PC Mclardy also called upon parents not to park their cars on footpaths, as this creates problems for pedestrians, many of whom will have pushchairs.
The AA recently predicted that zebra crossings could soon be a thing of the past in the UK, due to a rise in accident rates among pedestrians who use them.
